To put it very simple if you read the information it is a yellow skin fig with a yellow interior not red. This is why we pulled and posted the information from the database. This variety has been sold for quite a bit of money we've also had Lots a people with questions with concerns with the UC Davis variety. They also quit selling it because it wasn't the correct variety maybe you can help out on this one Steve. The seller is advertising it as a three-year-old tissue culture I do believe Steve done some research and the only place he could find was one place on Amazon that sold tissue cultures. Good morning all we had some people questioning another golden Celeste on Figbid. I'm looking for more information about this green skin variety I know it was supposed to came from Jon and the F4F so we would be interested in getting this and checking the database UC Davis to see if we can come up what this is. But we had the DNA mapping done on this and it is a real deal who would have known.

And some by so-called experts or self-proclaimed experts. Steve Had posted some photos of a true golden Celeste and had comments that it was Photoshop, wasn't no such thing, etc. We can tell you that there are literally hundreds of Celeste different sizes different colors different leaves and combination of Leafs making them all unique and different.

So we are getting this variety directly from UC Davis to add to our studies. And all my LSU varieties come directly from LSU and all my Texas A&M varieties come from Texas A&M directly from the source no confusion. The main attraction for me was because the LSU breeding program with the Celeste being the key role in their breeding program. Me and Steve probably had the largest Celeste collection around this is because we're doing a study on Celeste. There was a claim that this was from the LSU breeding program which it is not it comes from Texas University and it's registered with Texas University.

So we're open this up for debate with the information from the source of this variety. This is definitely not the variety that was described by the developers of this variety. They have described this as a green skin fig with strawberry red interior. So we're starting to get quite a few people that are selling this mostly rooted cuttings with no photos of the fruit.
